Managing your OfferUp account status is simple using our mobile app or website. You have the ability to deactivate or delete your account at any time.
Temporarily deactivate your account
Need a break from OfferUp? You can temporarily deactivate your account without losing any of your data. This is a great option if you're going on vacation or just want to pause your activity. Your account, including sales history, messages, and ratings, will be saved—so you can easily pick up where you left off when you’re ready.
- Open the OfferUp app and log in to your account.
- Tap your profile picture in the top right corner.
- On the Account page, tap Account Settings.
- Under Privacy, tap Privacy Settings.
- Tap Account Deactivation / Deletion, then select a reason from the dropdown menu. If necessary, enter additional info into the Tell Us More field, then tap Next.
- Select Deactivate Account, then tap Next.
- Tap Deactivate Account to confirm.
You’ll receive an email confirming that your account has been deactivated.
- Visit the Account Deactivation page and log in to your OfferUp account.
- Select a reason for leaving and provide a brief explanation.
- Select Deactivate Account.
You’ll receive an email confirming that your account has been deactivated.
Reactivate your account
You can reactivate your account at any time.
Simply log in to OfferUp using your previous login credentials, such as your email and password or your Apple, Google, or Facebook account.
Logging in reactivates your account and restores all of your account history, including your sales and purchases, messages, ratings, and more.
Important
If OfferUp deactivated your account due to policy violations, you won’t be able to reactivate it. If you feel this was done in error, please contact us.
Permanently delete your account
Deleting your account is a permanent action that cannot be undone. When you delete your account, all of your account data and history will be permanently removed, including your sales and purchases, messages, payment methods, ratings, and more. Deleted accounts cannot be reactivated.
- Open the OfferUp app and log in to your account.
- Tap your profile picture in the top right corner.
- On the Account page, tap Account Settings.
- Under Privacy, tap Privacy Settings.
- Tap Account Deactivation / Deletion, then select an option from the dropdown menu. If necessary, enter additional info into the Tell Us More field, then tap Next.
- Select Delete Account, then tap Next.
- Select Begin Deletion
- [Optional] Choose Deactivate Instead to temporarily shut down your account.
Your account will enter the queue for deletion and you will receive an email from OfferUp confirming your request.
- Click the Contact Us button below.
- On the Contact Us page, click My Account > Data & Privacy.
- Fill out the required fields, then click Submit

Cancel subscriptions
Deactivating or deleting your OfferUp account does not cancel your subscriptions or stop payments. The only way to cancel your OfferUp subscriptions is through your app store. To avoid auto-renewing for another month of service, you must cancel at least 24 hours prior to your renewal date.

When you cancel, your subscription benefits will continue to run until the end of your current renewal term. Then, your subscription will expire and you will not auto-renew the following month.
Important
If you have multiple subscriptions that you want to cancel, you'll need to cancel each one individually through your app store.

- If you don't see this option in your Privacy settings, try updating the OfferUp app.
