If you’re a service provider who’s looking to connect with local customers, post your service on OfferUp. Our dedicated feed allows customers to find you, ask questions, get quotes, and schedule services fast.

FAQs

How do I post a service?
  1. Open the OfferUp app and log in to your account.
  2. Tap services_icon.svg Services, then tap Post a Service.
  3. Enter your service details, then tap Next.
  4. If you're TruYou verified, you'll go straight to previewing your listing.
  5. If you're not TruYou verified, you'll go through the quick TruYou verification process first. This is a one-time identity check.
  6. On the Preview page, double-check that everything looks correct, then tap Next.
  7. On the Payment page, review the subscription details, then tap Confirm Subscription.
  8. Select your app store payment method, then tap Buy.

Note: When you post your first service listing, you're automatically signed up for a Services subscription. Your listing will be live in the feed within 24 hours and will auto-renew every 30 days. 

What information do I need to provide on my listing?

The following information is required to create a service listing:

  • Your business name
  • An introduction (about you or your business)
  • Your service details:
    • Service category - Select the category that your service falls under. If you’d like to request a category that isn’t listed, please complete the Services Interest Form, and we’ll consider it for future enhancements.
    • Location - The 5-digit zip code associated with your service area. Your listing will display in search results within a 30-mile radius of the zip code.
    • Pricing details

You may provide additional details in the optional fields. Please note that your account profile picture will appear by default on your listing. If you add a new picture to your listing, it will override your current profile picture.

Can I add my Google reviews to the listing?

Yes! You can connect your Google Business Profile and import up to five of your most recent reviews to display on your listing. To import your reviews, go to the Post a Service page, tap Connect With Google, then follow the prompts.

Note: You cannot choose what reviews get posted. We take the five most recent reviews from your business profile, regardless of star rating. Imported reviews may take up to 24 hours to appear on your OfferUp profile.

How much does it cost to post a service?

The introductory cost for a Services subscription is $75.00 per month. All providers are automatically signed up for a subscription when they post their first listing. Subscription listings auto-renew every 30 days so they stay active in the feed. 

Additional service listings can be purchased for $75.00 each. These extra listings are separate from the monthly subscription, so they expire after 30 days and do not auto-renew. 

Why do I need to be TruYou verified to post a service?

To help keep our platform safe, we require all service providers to pass a TruYou verification screening. This one-time identity verification is quick and secure. To learn more, see TruYou verification program.

Will my service listing be posted immediately?

No. It may take up to 24 hours for your listing to post due to our review process, which helps detect and prevent scams on our platform. All listings must meet our service guidelines to be posted. If your listing doesn’t meet our guidelines, we'll notify you by email.

Tip: You can keep an eye on the status of your listing by going to Listings and filtering by Services. Your listing will show Pending while it’s under review, and Active when it’s posted to the feed.

How long will my service listing stay active?

Your one Services subscription listing will stay active in the feed until you choose to cancel your subscription.

Any additional service listings that you purchase stay active for 30 days from the posting date. When they expire, they're removed from the live feed.

How do customers reach out to me?
If a customer is interested in your services, they can send you a message through the OfferUp app. You’ll use messaging to chat back and forth, provide quotes, and schedule appointments. Make sure you’ve enabled notifications so you get alerted when you have new messages. To learn more, see Manage notification preferences.
Where can I manage my service listings?

To manage your service listings, go to Listings and filter by Services. Here, you can view all of your pending, active, and expired service listings.

How do I edit a service listing?

To edit a service listing:

  1. Open the OfferUp app and log in.
  2. Tap Listings, then filter by Services.
  3. Select the listing you want to edit, then tap Edit.
  4. Enter your changes and tap Save.

Please note, it may take up to 24 hours for your edited listing to post to the feed. All new and edited listings must pass through our review process to ensure they meet our service guidelines before they can be posted.

How do I close or delete a service listing?

Currently, you’re unable to close or delete a listing before its expiration date. Expired listings are automatically removed from the live feed. 

Can I repost a service listing that’s expired?

Yes. To repost a service listing:

  1. Open the app and log in to your account.
  2. Tap Listings, then filter by Services.
  3. Select the expired listing you want to reactivate, then tap Repost.
  4. Confirm your payment method, then tap Confirm and Repost.

You’ll see the Success pop-up which notifies you that your listing will be live shortly. You can edit your listing after it has been relisted.

Can I get refunded for a service listing?

In most cases, we do not offer refunds for listing purchases. However, if your listing was mistakenly removed from the feed due to an automation error, we will accept a refund request.

To submit a refund request:

  1. Select the Contact Us button below.
  2. Choose My Account.
  3. From the Reason dropdown, select Disputing Item Removal.
  4. Complete the required fields, then select Submit.

If your listing was removed because it violated our Prohibited Services Guidelines or general rules and policies, we cannot offer a refund.
