OfferUp sends you notifications when we have something to tell you. For example, we’ll notify you when you have new messages from buyers or sellers, when new items are posted that match your interests, or when there are important updates to your account. There are 3 ways that OfferUp sends you notifications: in the app, by email, and by push notification.

We send app notifications to your Inbox in the OfferUp mobile app. This is the default method for receiving notifications.
Check your notifications in the mobile app
To access your notifications in the app, complete the following steps:
- Open the OfferUp app and log into your account.
- Tap Inbox.
- Tap Notifications.
Check your notifications on the web
To access your notifications on the web, complete the following steps:
- Visit OfferUp.com and log into your account.
- Click Inbox.
- Click the Notifications tab.
You cannot turn off or disable in-app notifications since this is our primary means of communicating important information to you. However, you can delete in-app notifications if desired. To learn how, see Delete a message or notification.
We send you email notifications to let you know about things like new chat messages or search alerts that are waiting for you in the app. We also send emails to tell you about personalized recommendations and marketing promotions. Email notifications are delivered to the address associated with your OfferUp account. You can opt out of receiving email notifications at any time. We send you push notifications to let you know about things like new chat messages or search alerts that are waiting for you in the app. We also send push notifications to tell you about personalized recommendations, and more. Push notifications are delivered to your mobile device and appear on the lock screen and in your top status bar. You can opt out of receiving push notifications at any time.
