See below for information on how to cancel a shipment as a buyer.
Note: Canceling an order is unavailable on the web. If you are trying to cancel an order from the web, you will need to switch to the OfferUp app to continue.
Purchases from a Pro Seller
If you’ve purchased from a Pro Seller, you will not be able to cancel the order. If you end up having an issue with an order you’ve placed and need to cancel it, you can request a refund before the item ships.
Purchases from an individual seller
If you’ve made a shipping offer to an individual seller (an individual seller is any seller who isn’t a Pro Seller) and they haven’t responded, you can cancel the offer within 24 hours before the seller accepts it.
To cancel your offer:
- Tap Inbox
- Make sure you’re in the Messages tab
- Find and tap the Messages conversation to find the item you want to cancel
- Tap View offer
- Tap Cancel offer, then Cancel offer again to confirm
Keep in mind, the offer will be canceled if the seller doesn’t accept or decline it within 24 hours. Once the seller accepts the offer, you've made a commitment to buy and will not be able to cancel.
Accepted offers & Buy Now orders
If you’ve purchased a Buy Now order from an individual seller, you will not be able to cancel the order. If a seller accepts your offer and you need to cancel, you may message them and ask them to cancel it voluntarily from their side.
