See below for information on how to cancel an order as a buyer.
Note: Canceling an order is unavailable on the web. If you are trying to cancel an order from the web, you will need to switch to the OfferUp app to continue.
If you’ve made a shipping offer, and the seller hasn't responded, you can cancel the offer within 24 hours.
To cancel your offer:
- Tap Inbox
- Make sure you’re in the Messages tab
- Find and tap the Messages conversation to find the item you want to cancel
- Tap View offer
- Tap Cancel offer, then Cancel offer again to confirm
Keep in mind, the offer will be canceled automatically if the seller doesn’t accept or declines it within 24 hours. Once the seller accepts the offer, you've made a commitment to buy and will not be able to cancel.
Accepted offers & Buy Now orders
If you’ve made a purchase using the Buy Now option, you will not be able to cancel the order. If a seller accepts your offer and you need to cancel, you'll need to message them and ask them to cancel it voluntarily from their side.
