How do I search for jobs?

Searching for jobs has never been easier! Visit OfferUp.com and click Find a Job, or open our mobile app and tap Jobs. Browse the OfferUp Jobs feed to see diverse opportunities in your area, or search by keyword for a specific job title or role. Use the filter options to narrow your search by location, category, or listing date. Once you find a job that you're interested in, tap the listing to get more information about the position and the employer.

Can I change the location of my job search?

Yes. You can search for jobs in any US city or state by selecting the location icon Location icon and entering the zip code for the desired area.

Search location filter is set to 30 miles.

What if I need more information about a job?

Any information about a job (including potential pay or benefits) is provided by the employer. OfferUp is unable to provide additional details about a job other than the information posted within the job listing. If you have questions about a job, please reach out to the employer’s recruiting department or submit your question through the employer’s website. You cannot communicate with a potential employer via OfferUp.

Can I save a job listing?

Unfortunately, no. At this time, you are not able to save or favorite a job listing within the OfferUp website or mobile app. 

Can I share a job listing?

Yes. Sharing job listings is easy on the OfferUp website and mobile app. To share a listing, select the share icon Share button located in the top right corner.

How do I report a job listing that’s inappropriate?

If you see a job listing that looks like an ad, or that contains offensive, inappropriate, or explicit content, please let us know by reporting the listing. For more information, see How to report a listing.  

 

Applying for Jobs FAQs

How do I apply for a job?

The job listing will tell you how the employer wants you to apply. The available apply buttons will tell you how employers are receiving applications. 

  • Call Now will direct you to contact the employer by phone to start the application process.
  • Email Now will direct you to contact the employer by email to start the application process.
  • Apply Now will direct you to an external website where you’ll submit your application or receive more information on how to apply.

The Jobs feed shows the job title, company name, and a link to apply.      The Job listing page shows the job description details and contains a button to apply.

Eligibility and application requirements may vary and are determined solely by the employer, not by OfferUp. Additionally, applications are not processed by OfferUp. All communication between job seekers and employers will occur outside of the OfferUp app.

How can I check the status of my application after I apply?

All communication about your application status will come directly from the employer or on behalf of the employer. OfferUp doesn’t receive any information regarding the status of your job application, nor can we provide you with any updates on your application status.  

For questions about your application, please reach out to the employer directly through their website/portal or recruiting department. 

Can I save my resume on OfferUp?

No. OfferUp doesn’t save or store any of the information associated with your job application, including your resume. 

The ability to save your resume or application information in the employer's portal depends solely on the employer and is outside of OfferUp’s control.
