How it works
With the Rentals feature in our mobile app, you can browse local listings for available apartments near you. Each listing includes detailed floor plans, photos, and property information. See one you like? Contact the leasing agent directly from the app. It's fast, simple, and designed to make finding your next home effortless.
Note
We're continuously testing and introducing new features in the app. As a result, some users may have access to certain features before others. If you don't see this feature, it hasn't been made available to you yet.
Search and browse rentals
- Open the OfferUp app and log in to your account.
- On the Home page, tap Rentals.
- On the Rentals feed, browse the available listings. To search, enter a neighborhood, city, address, or zip code into the search bar.
- Optional: Tap Map to view search results on a map. Tap List to view search results as a list.
- Tap any listing to view details about the rental.
Note
If you don't see the Rentals icon in the app, try updating to the latest app version.
Filter your search results
Use the filters at the top of your search results feed to narrow down your results. Filter options include:
- Price: Minimum or Maximum
- Number of Beds: Minimum or Maximum
- Number of Baths: Minimum or Maximum
- Availability: Filter by Available Now, Next 7 Days, Next 30 Days, or Next 60 Days
Save or share a listing
To save a listing: Tap Save in the top right corner of the listing page. To access your saved listings, go to Account > Saves > Saved Rentals.
To share a listing: Tap Share in the top right corner of the listing page, then choose how you want to share the link from your device.
Contact a leasing agent
To contact a leasing agent about a unit:
- At the bottom of the listing page, tap the Contact Agent button.
- On the Contact Agent form, enter your First Name, Last Name, and Email. Optional: enter a brief Message.
- Tap Contact Agent to submit the form.
The leasing agent will reach out to you shortly by email. All further communication happens outside of the OfferUp app — OfferUp doesn't manage messages, applications, or status updates for rentals beyond this initial contact form.
Apply for a rental
To submit a rental application, contact the leasing agent using the Contact Agent button at the bottom of the listing, and ask them for their application process.
Checking on a pending application? All communication about rental applications happens outside of OfferUp — for help with a pending application or status update, contact the rental property directly. OfferUp isn't able to provide application status updates.
Leasing agents & property managers
At this time, you cannot post rentals on OfferUp. All listings in the Rentals feed are currently provided by our third-party partner, Apartment List.
