How do I access the Local News feed?
Local News is only available in the OfferUp mobile app (not on OfferUp.com).
To access the Local News feed:
- Open the OfferUp app and log in to your account.
- On the
Home page, tap
Local News.
- Browse recent news articles from your area.
How is the feed tailored to me?
The articles that show in your feed are relative to your search location. Any news occurring within 20 miles of your set location within the last 14 days will show in your feed.
How do I edit my location to get news from other areas?
To edit your search location:
- Open the OfferUp app and log in to your account.
- On the Home page, tap
- At the top of the feed, tap
Location.
- Tap Get My Location to share your current location or enter a zip code.
Note
When you change your search location in the Local News feed, it will change your search location in all other feeds as well, like the For Sale feed.
How often is my feed refreshed?
Your Local News feed is refreshed throughout the day. Check back often for the latest news.
Can I save or share a news article?
No. The save and share features are not available at this time.
Can I post my own news articles?
No. All news articles are provided by our partner, Perigon, from your local news outlets.
