When you sell items on OfferUp using Nationwide Shipping, you get paid through the OfferUp app. If you want to receive your payments faster, you can turn on Fast Deposit.
How it works
When you turn on Fast Deposit, you shorten the time it takes to process payments to your OfferUp deposit account.
The standard timeline for you to get paid without using Fast Deposit is typically 3 - 5 business days from the date that the buyer accepts your delivered item. Please note, weekends and holidays may extend this timeline.
With Fast Deposit, you get paid within 1 calendar day (or less) from the date that the buyer accepts your delivered item. Please note, weekends and holidays do not affect this timeline.
The cost to use Fast Deposit is 1% (minimum $0.50) of the sale price per transaction. This fee is in addition to any other applicable shipping fees.
Turning on Fast Deposit in the app
You can turn on Fast Deposit at any time in the OfferUp mobile app. Please note, you cannot complete this action on the web at OfferUp.com.
In order to use Fast Deposit, your deposit account must be linked to a debit card. It will not work if your deposit account is linked to a bank account.
To turn on Fast Deposit in the app, complete the following steps:
- Tap your profile picture in the top right corner to access your Account.
- Tap Payment & Deposit Methods.
- Under Deposit Account, turn on the Fast Deposit toggle.
Once Fast Deposit is enabled, it will take effect on all future sales transactions. However, it won't work on any of your transactions that are already in progress.

Troubleshooting
Haven’t received your money yet? If you have Fast Deposit turned on, but your payment is taking longer than expected, check for the following things:
- Did the item get delivered? Check your inbox notifications to see if your item was delivered. The item must be delivered and accepted by the buyer before you can get paid.
- Did the buyer accept the item? The buyer has 2 days (48 hours) from the date the item is delivered to accept or reject the item. Check your inbox notifications to see if the buyer has accepted the item within the 2-day window. If they’ve accepted, you should receive your payment within 1 day.
- Did the buyer ask for a refund or open a 2-Day Protection claim? If the buyer asks for a refund or opens a claim, your payment will be withheld until the matter is resolved. Check your inbox to see if you received a refund request or a claim notification.
- Are you being asked to provide your Social Security Number or verify your identity before you can get paid? Check your inbox notifications to see if OfferUp is asking you to verify anything. When OfferUp requires you to verify information, all of your payments are paused until you provide the requested information. This requirement helps to maintain your account security and cannot be bypassed.
